I got botox! Not in my face, in my hand and leg! I was nervous to get this because it hurts, at least that's what I was told. But, I was super excited to get it because it was going to help with my tone. I'm on my third dose of getting it.
“Botox is a chemical that can result in the sustained relaxation of muscles and is used for a variety of conditions, ranging from cosmetic enhancement to the treatment of headaches, or the spasticity of muscles related to TBI or other neurological disorders.”
The first time I got Botox I had it towards the end of December. I was really nervous for what it was going to feel like. So I went to Barrow’s Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix to get it done - the same hospital I went to for my craniotomy, angiograms, etc.. When I saw the needle, I was anxious! Kenny, or nurse practitioner Kenneth Vickroy, is incredible. He walked in, looked at my arm and my leg, and injected me with the botox. It was quick and easy. Now, as for the pain, I really didn't feel a thing. Mine helped with the spasticity of my muscles, specifically in the arm and the leg.
You can only get botox every 3 months. They're very strict about it. I'm on my third dose of it and it has helped me so much!

The dots are the places they stuck the needle in!

Great story I’m going through something somewhat similar I had a brain hemorrhage in October working to recover right now. Did you have any arm paralysis? If so, did you get it back?
