Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is beautiful. Serene. Breathtaking.

We were on our way to Lake Tahoe and our first stop was Oatman, AZ. For those who don't know, Oatman is a place known for its burros. They live all over, for example, while you're getting lunch they're outside just chilling. They really are ALL over. It was so much fun to meet them, touch them, and say hello to them. After this, we drove on.

We finally got to Lake Tahoe and we were so happy. We were right on the beach! We sat and enjoyed the sun.

First, we went to Sprouts, which was AMAZING! I had a cream cheese and avocado sandwich, filled with carrots, cabbage, and other stuff. It was so good!

Then, I got to see my best friend Christine! She lives in Gardnerville, Nevada, which is about 30 minutes from where we were staying. We went to a wine bar on the water, it was lovely!

Next, we went to Incline Village in Nevada to kayak. I was a bit nervous for kayaking. I didn't know how I would be shifting my weight, or if my balance would be centered. I was super cautious about this, but it turned out to be perfect! And it was gorgeous. We could see the fish and beautiful layers of rocks right underneath us because our kayaks were clear. It was my mom and myself in one kayak and my brother and his girlfriend, Maja in another.

Then, we took the gondola up to Heavenly Ski Resort. It was astonishing. And then, we took the rollercoaster!!! It was only 4 minutes, but it was the best 4 minutes of my time there. You take a gondola up to the top of a ski resort and then ride a rollercoaster - it can’t really get much better than that!

Next, we went to Emerald Cove which was beautiful, and a walk. It was straight up and straight down. Going down was fine, but coming back up - now that was the hard part. When we got down there it felt like we were in a movie, it was breathtaking. We first went down to the water, and Maja went in it! And then, we walked over to the waterfall. It was gorgeous, it had all these little trickles and flows. The trees were HUGE! I wonder how many hundreds and thousands of years those trees have been there…

It was finally our time to leave. We got up early and left - we were on our way! We went through Las Vegas on the way out, and stayed the night there. Viva Las Vegas! We continued on our way, and made it home safely. Overall, our trip was wonderful, fun, and relaxing. I am so grateful to have these trips and that I get to spend time with my family.
